Job Opportunity: Upstream Processing Specialist (m/w/d)

We are seeking a skilled Upstream Processing Specialist (m/w/d) to join our client’s pharmaceutical and biotech production team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in daily manufacturing operations within a cGMP environment, focusing exclusively on upstream processing activities. This role requires hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and a solid understanding of aseptic processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate bioreactors and fermenters using both disposable and traditional bioprocess equipment.
  • Perform microbial and mammalian cell culture tasks with strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare stock solutions, buffers, and media, including filtration and sterilization processes.
  • Monitor upstream processing operations, identify deviations, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanroom standards and adhere to cGMP and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Document batch records and support quality and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth production workflow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in upstream processing within pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on aseptic technique skills and in-depth aseptic knowledge.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations and cleanroom practices.
  • Ability and willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 1-year fixed-term contract
  • Shift work required
