ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems capable of carrying up to 500 kilograms. We offer industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems for various mission profiles, including surveillance and reconnaissance, inspection, mapping, and cargo transport.
Position: Test Engineer
As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and validation of our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This position involves designing, building, and maintaining test benches and systems that simulate flight conditions for comprehensive testing of UAV systems and components. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Main Tasks
- Develop and design test benches for UAV systems, including avionics, propulsion, and flight control components, ensuring they replicate real-world operating conditions.
- Integrate various UAV subsystems into test benches, collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless functionality.
- Execute rigorous testing protocols on test benches to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Collect and analyze test data to identify performance trends, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for design improvements.
- Prepare detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to document testing activities, results, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and upgrade test bench equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and incorporate new technologies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams to provide feedback and insights from test results to inform product development and enhancements.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in the testing and validation of UAV systems or aerospace applications; familiarity with test bench design and operation.
- Proficiency in data acquisition systems, testing tools, and software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW); strong understanding of avionics and control systems is advantageous. CAD skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities; a good technical understanding is essential.
