We are seeking an experienced automation specialist to build and execute a QA strategy that emphasizes early test automation adoption. By incorporating cutting-edge automation solutions, you will significantly reduce manual effort while increasing test coverage. Your role will involve continuously assessing and improving automation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with a strong focus on driving the "shift-left" adoption in QA. Additionally, you will leverage Generative AI to automatically generate, optimize, and maintain automated scripts based on application flows, UI changes, and natural language input.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks to promote an “Automation First Mindset,” utilizing advanced techniques such as BDD to streamline and enhance the QA process.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, optimizing the efficiency and reliability of release processes.
- Develop probing methodologies to validate the availability and uptime of systems in the production environment, ensuring "shift-right" adoption.
Your Skills
- Over 15 years of experience driving automation adoption while facilitating functional and automation tests across multiple testing levels (System Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing).
- Proficient in delivering high-quality automation test solutions, with strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and TestNG frameworks.
- Innovative problem solver skilled at enhancing automation capabilities and addressing emerging challenges.
- Sound knowledge of version control tools like GitLab and continuous integration tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Familiarity with build management tools like Maven and test data management utilizing databases or Apache POI.
- Ability to define and promote test automation best practices and standards by developing hybrid automation frameworks.
- Competent in project management, including phased deliverables, specifications analysis, resource allocation, project planning, and execution.
- Strong proficiency in Agile processes, with a proven record of implementing the Scaled Agile Framework; SAFe certifications are advantageous.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to projects, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement; SRE certifications are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to develop comprehensive E2E functional requirements and create effective Test Plans, Strategies, and Estimates.
- Rich experience in strategizing test plans, estimating tests, designing test cases, and developing automation scripts; ISTQB Advanced Test certifications are helpful.
- Collaborate with multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and business stakeholders to establish test environments and create test data according to complex system requirements.
- Drive rapid resolution of complex defects and critical incidents through expert triage, root cause analysis, and cross-functional coordination under high-pressure situations.
- Deliver precise, data-driven reports that provide insights, highlight risks, and support informed decision-making across stakeholders; deep knowledge of Jira rich filter controller reports is a plus.
- Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Drive various types of testing including Functional, Automation, Localization, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Manage cross-functional teams of functional and automation engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Expert in defect and incident triaging, skilled in analyzing, prioritizing, and coordinating the resolution of software issues to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and a great customer experience.
- Measure and enhance the quality and efficiency of QA efforts through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proactively identify potential risks and efficiently manage project challenges to maintain timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure comprehensive reporting and analytics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
