Music at Le Régent International School

At Le Régent, students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 receive one or two periods of music each week, complemented by a variety of extracurricular opportunities such as choirs, bands, orchestras, instrumental lessons, and other optional clubs. From Grade 9 onward, music becomes an elective in the pre-IB, IB Diploma, or Le Régent Certificate pathway.

With the adoption of the IPC and transition to the IMYC, music education integrates recognized pedagogies with progressive, hands-on approaches and transdisciplinary opportunities. In secondary school, the curriculum aligns with IB Music, ensuring a seamless transition to the Diploma program. Music technology and production are key components, alongside internationally recognized instrumental qualifications (ABRSM, Trinity College London), supporting students' development as performers, creators, and leaders across various musical genres.
