Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Biology or General Science in Grades 9 and 10, as well as Biology at the IB Diploma level. The ability to teach Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) is considered a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster scientific understanding, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Support students’ academic and personal growth both within and beyond the classroom.
- Contribute to collaborative curriculum development.
- Participate actively in the school’s rich co-curricular and extracurricular life.
Requirements
- Degree in Biology or a closely related subject.
- Teaching qualification recognised for upper secondary schools.
- Proven teaching experience in secondary science, including IB Diploma Biology.
- Ability to teach or a willingness to contribute to IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS) is a strong asset.
- Highly motivated teacher with excellent pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to student-centred, inquiry-based learning.
- Confident, flexible, and collaborative professional who enjoys working with young people in an international school environment.
- Swiss/EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage.
