Job Title: Supply and Inventory Planner

In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your primary focus will be to ensure the right balance between demand and supply while maintaining optimized inventory levels. Identifying and addressing supply risks will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to balance costs with customer demand effectively and manage supply chain disruptions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to generate a constrained supply plan, establishing and leading rough-cut capacity planning linked to the demand plan for both short- and long-term supply strategies.
  • Identify capacity constraints through deep-dive analysis and recommend both short-term and long-term solutions to mitigate bottlenecks in collaboration with production teams, ensuring alignment between supply and demand.
  • Spot potential supply chain risks and disruptions, contributing to the development of contingency plans. Identify root causes of non-performance and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Determine the impact of the supply plan on expected inventory levels, monitoring and coordinating inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excess. Facilitate cross-functional inventory reduction activities and conduct financial risk assessments regarding inventory decisions.
  • Coordinate and track progress with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing (external workbenches). Collaborate with external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
  • Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and overall supply chain performance for management, providing valuable inputs into the IBP cycle concerning supply risks and constraints.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns and issues, develop creative solutions, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to build complex data models from various data sources.
  • Understanding of market trends and the financial impacts of supply chain operations, with a proven track record of implementing supply chain best practices.
  • Capability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
