Your Mission

If you’re studying and seeking hands-on experience in UX Research, especially the practical aspects that bring research to life, we invite you to join our UX Research Team at SMG Automotive (AutoScout24 and MotoScout24). As a Student UX Researcher, you'll support our designers, product managers, and researchers in understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions. This role offers you the chance to deepen your expertise in UX while contributing directly to design and product decisions for the most significant vehicle marketplaces in Switzerland, impacting millions of users.

What You Will Do

  • Run and continuously improve our participant recruitment & scheduling process (screeners, coordination, reminders, incentives).
  • Support qualitative studies (interviews, user testing): prepare scripts, take notes, and moderate sessions.
  • Maintain our research repository: document research insights, create project summaries, and share important findings with stakeholders.
  • Enhance our research toolkit: develop templates, checklists, guidelines, and maintain best practices for research.
  • Assist in the research intake process: triage requests, clarify needs, and keep the research calendar updated.
  • Coordinate with external partners or vendors as needed (e.g., recruitment providers).
  • Support quantitative research initiatives.
  • Communicate insights effectively through reports, summaries, and stakeholder communication.
  • Help organize and support workshops and insight-sharing sessions (e.g., ideation, journey mapping).

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (e.g., Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Business/Behavioral Science, or similar).
  • You are highly organized, reliable, and enjoy making complex workstreams run smoothly.
  • You have a keen eye for quality and details, as research operations hinge on precision.
  • You can keep Thursday afternoons free for our user testing sessions.
  • You communicate clearly in English (our corporate language) and German.
  • You are comfortable with digital tools (e.g., Notion, Miro). Familiarity with research tools like Lookback, Caplena, Qualtrics, Zapier, or similar is a bonus.
  • Statistical analysis skills in R or SPSS would be a significant plus.
