Position: Signal Integrity Lead Engineer
We are actively seeking a Signal Integrity Lead Engineer who enjoys a challenge, for our office located in Lausanne, Switzerland, or the UK.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Kandou code technology developers and product teams to provide guidance on signal integrity (SI) solutions and challenges related to such codes and products.
- Work alongside Kandou circuit designers to advise on SI solutions and issues concerning Kandou's silicon implementations.
- Support Kandou staff in analyzing and defining high-speed signaling standards (IEEE, OIF, memory).
- Engage with Kandou customers and component suppliers to develop and analyze innovative hardware solutions.
- Conduct theoretical and simulation-based signal integrity analysis of Kandou products, test structures, and hardware solutions.
- Prepare technical analysis reports for both internal Kandou teams and external customers.
- Evaluate the signal integrity performance of Kandou Chord encoding systems compared to other systems such as PAM4, PAM8, etc.
- Collaborate with Kandou chip/circuit designers on SI/PI/power solutions for packaging and evaluation boards.
- Carry out signal integrity, power integrity, and power validation tests, correlating simulations with measurements.
- Create design specifications, simulation reports, debug reports, and validation test plans.
Required Competencies – Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong background in microwave, analog, power, and digital electronics theories.
- Proven team player who is quick to learn and adapt.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior team members.
Required Competencies – Skills
- Understanding of simulation/design principles for signal integrity and power integrity.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages, including Matlab.
- Familiarity with Linux-based IC design environments, particularly with Cadence Virtuoso.
- Experience with leading signal integrity and power integrity simulation tools.
