Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Perform installation, upgrades, and maintenance of DeltaV-Systems, integrated Bus systems, intelligent field devices, and third-party systems both in-house and at customer sites.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of backup systems, antivirus management, and other cybersecurity solutions.
- Create design documents and testing procedures for installations in both validated and non-validated environments.
- Provide active support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
- Handle all customer inquiries related to hardware and software products or services from the PSS & AO Business Units.
- Register, document, and analyze all customer calls in the SMS database, managing them proactively.
- Escalate complex issues to specialists at Emerson Support Centres for further investigation, ensuring thorough follow-up until resolution.
- Deliver on-site service and maintenance for products and services offered by the Business Units PSS & AO.
- Maintain the Installed System Database to ensure accurate records.
- Register and monitor service contracts, executing services in accordance with contractual agreements and schedules.
- Collaborate with the Desk Sales team to prepare quotations for spare parts, minor expansions, migrations, and upgrades.
- Provide support to the sales team for selling new service contracts and renewing existing contracts.
- Contribute technical information and insights to the Field Sales team.
- Facilitate the transfer of technical knowledge within the Service and Engineering department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Adhere to the “Trade Compliance Screening” procedure as required.
- Follow up on all required training and certifications necessary for the service organization.
