Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Storage Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the engineering and operation of enterprise-wide storage infrastructures. You will manage and further develop the bank’s storage platforms while contributing to cross-functional projects with your technical expertise.
Key Tasks Include:
- Provisioning and managing storage services (block, object, archive) across various technologies (SAN, LAN, iSCSI)
- Performing operational tasks such as release updates, patching, and capacity management
- Supporting internal projects with storage-related requirements
- Evolving the storage architecture in line with industry trends and technological advancements
- Providing second-level support as part of the existing support structure, including on-call duties
Your Profile
You hold a degree in Computer Science (from a university or university of applied sciences) or a similar qualification, along with several years of practical experience in Storage and SAN management.
Additionally, you bring the following skills and qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with leading storage technologies (e.g., IBM FlashSystem, NetApp, Pure Storage, Cloudian)
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and/or network engineering
- Experience with VMware is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A proactive and responsible mindset with the ability to work independently
- Fluency in English; very good German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to work fully onsite (100%)
