Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint a Project Engineer in the area of Drive Applications. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, engineering, commissioning, and testing electric drive systems. These systems will be customized for mills, high-pressure grinding rolls, conveyors, fans, and pumps used in the minerals processing industry.

This position contributes to the Process Industries division in Switzerland.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions for electric drive systems, ensuring all relevant engineering aspects are clarified and coordinated during project execution.
- Develop application-specific control platform features for MV Drives (ACS6080).
- Supervise commissioning and maintenance of MV drive systems at customer sites worldwide, including troubleshooting.
- Issue and review conceptual designs, technical specifications, data sheets, project documents, and customer documentation; support sales, service, and R&D with technical expertise on MV drive systems in grinding applications.
Qualifications for the Role
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Electronics/Drive Technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in MV drive technology.
- Technical knowledge of the latest ABB MV drive system control platform (UCON, Sandbox, Crealizer™), as well as commissioning and service experience.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Strong command of English at a technical/engineering level (both written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel for global commissioning and service assignments to remote sites (approximately 25% of working hours and up to several weeks per assignment).
