Job Overview
As a Senior Product Creation Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of end-to-end product creation calendars. You will be responsible for orchestrating key timelines and interdependent workflows across various cross-functional teams. With a keen focus on optimizing speed-to-market and process efficiency, you'll lead the planning and implementation of innovative strategies, particularly for short-lead-time product initiatives within the footwear division. Your expertise in planning tools, especially Smartsheet, will be essential in driving operational excellence throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to retail delivery.
Your Mission
- Lead the definition, structuring, and ongoing management of comprehensive product creation calendars, ensuring alignment from initial concept through commercialization for the footwear division.
- Participate in key milestone meetings with executive leadership, ensuring decision clarity, timely escalation, and alignment on next steps.
- Foster strong collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, Development, Materials, and Sourcing, to maintain calendar accuracy and secure essential alignment.
- Provide clear and actionable reporting along with progress documentation to stakeholders, ensuring visibility and accountability across teams.
- Collaborate with the wider Operational Excellence team on initiatives aimed at improving product-specific and short-lead-time planning processes, thereby accelerating the time-to-market for new product briefs.
Your Story
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Science, or a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related discipline that integrates business and technical expertise.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Critical Path Planning, with a strong preference for background in footwear.
- Proven success as a strategic leader in the end-to-end development and execution of product creation calendars, managing critical timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional workflows from ideation to retail launch.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects with high visibility at leadership and executive levels, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely decision-making.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills, capable of connecting operational details to broader business objectives and commercial success.
- Expert-level proficiency in Smartsheet, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Google Sheets and Slides. Experience in dashboard creation, workflow automation, and cross-functional planning tools is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a knack for driving alignment across global, cross-functional teams—even in fast-paced, ambiguous, or evolving environments.
- A proactive and accountable approach to project management, with a consistent track record of problem-solving, operational execution, and delivering measurable results under tight deadlines.
