AYES Switzerland is Seeking a Senior Mechanical System Engineer – Powerplant Systems

Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for propeller and hub-related mechanical systems within advanced aircraft powerplant architectures.
- Capture, analyze, and validate system requirements, ensuring the production of clear and structured technical documentation.
- Demonstrate system compliance with applicable airworthiness and certification standards (FAR / EASA CS-23).
- Develop system-level test plans, test procedures, and certification reports for submission to certification authorities.
- Technically coordinate and monitor supplier development activities related to assigned systems and components.
- Support aircraft and propulsion system ground and flight test campaigns, including international travel when required.
Our Ideal Candidate
- University degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in aerospace mechanical systems within development, integration, and certification environments.
- Proven experience in systems engineering activities related to one or more aircraft systems.
- Knowledge of powerplant or propulsion system integration is considered an advantage.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities in parallel.
- Fluent English skills (C1 level); knowledge of German is considered a plus.
