RA Scale AG, an ETH Zurich spin-off, is at the forefront of innovation, developing an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to automate tenders and supplier selection within the construction industry. Based in Zurich, our growing team of around 20 professionals is currently expanding into Germany and Austria.
Responsibilities
- Establishing, operating, and enhancing the cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for our SaaS platform.
- Planning and implementing infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform.
- Administering and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE).
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, TeamCity, or ArgoCD).
- Implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system stability.
- Collaborating closely with software engineers and data scientists to optimize performance.
- Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of production systems.
- Contributing to architecture and design decisions in close coordination with the CTO.
Requirements
- A minimum of several years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud engineering (AWS or GCP).
- Proficient knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience in building and operating microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), event-driven architectures, and monitoring tools.
- Programming skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js are advantageous.
- Previous experience in leading or coordinating small engineering teams is a plus.
- A strong understanding of infrastructure security and cloud governance.
- Excellent English communication skills (working language), with German being an advantage.
Terms of Employment
- Permanent full-time position (100%).
- Location: Zurich (Sihlcity) or remote (within Europe).
