Your Mission

Job Description

  • Engineering Solutions: Provide innovative engineering solutions and develop components from concept level to serial production, contributing to the development of next-generation Direct Air Capturing Products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the successful execution of design projects.
  • Product Design & CAD: Create and optimize product designs, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to develop 3D parts, component assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Design Documentation: Maintain accurate design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Prototype Development & Testing: Support the fabrication and testing of prototypes, conducting basic tests and experiments to validate design concepts and troubleshoot issues.
  • Quality Assurance & Improvement: Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, to ensure continuous improvement of the product.

Your Story

Requirements

  • Education & Engineering Expertise: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of engineering principles and development processes.
  • Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience designing mechanical components for industrial equipment, with expertise in material selection and compliance with industry regulations.
  • CAD Proficiency & Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software for designing mechanical parts and creating technical drawings; familiarity with geometric tolerancing is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with enthusiasm for problem-solving and creative thinking.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Strong English communication skills, enjoy mentoring younger engineers, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Formalities

This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we ask that you work onsite at least three days per week.
