Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics teacher for grades 6-12, with a focus on the Upper School curriculum, including IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus/Pre-Calculus. The Role

The ideal candidate will engage and inspire learners through their passion for Mathematics and professional practice. This role requires flexibility and a collaborative spirit, as the successful applicant will work closely with a dynamic team of professional Mathematics teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum within a diverse international setting. A teacher at ZIS is expected to hold high expectations for students and effectively differentiate content and instruction across all courses.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Mathematics, preferably within an international school.
• Extensive international experience is required for non-Swiss/EU applicants.
• Strong learner-centered focus with the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs.
• Teaching license in Mathematics, with a Masters-level study preferred.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• Experience with IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the curriculum.
• Understanding of concept-based curriculum and instruction.
• Inquiry-based pedagogical approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Emphasis on building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
