Your Mission

Working at SMG means taking ownership from day one. You will be part of our Automotive division, which includes the platforms AutoScout24 & MotoScout24, working to enhance these platforms into even more impressive products.

As a UX researcher, you will be responsible for understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions. This knowledge will yield insights that inform our product strategy and guide the user experiences we create across all our platforms. Your efforts will play a key role in shaping the car market's perception in Switzerland and will significantly impact millions of people.

What You Will Do

  • Research planning: Collaborate with various stakeholders to define strategic research objectives.
  • Prepare, conduct, and analyze qualitative and quantitative user studies to explore business models, features, concepts, and designs with our users.
  • Effectively communicate insights and findings to represent user needs during product development.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders from product, design, marketing, data, and strategy areas to further develop our user-centered products.
  • Advocate for user needs, goals, and problems, promoting user-centered design throughout the organization.
  • Shape the product strategy and roadmap by conducting proactive research.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You are knowledgeable in user research, design thinking methods, and user-centered design principles and UI best practices.
  • You have experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative UX research studies. Market research and Business Analysis experience is a plus.
  • You are comfortable creating reports and giving presentations.
  • You communicate fluently in English, our corporate language, and speak at least one of French or German at a native-speaker level.
  • You can run statistical analyses and are familiar with statistical analysis tools like R (a significant plus) or SPSS.
  • A university degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or related fields emphasizing human behavior would be advantageous.
  • You excel at working independently, prioritizing tasks across multiple projects, and adapting to changing schedules, demonstrating proactivity in discussions about our work processes to elevate our research team.
