Your Mission
Working at SMG means taking ownership from day one. You will be working in our Automotive division, which includes the platforms AutoScout24 & MotoScout24, turning these platforms into even more impressive products. As a UX researcher, you will be responsible for understanding our users’ needs, behaviours, and emotions. This insight will inform our product strategy and guide the experiences we create for all our platforms, ultimately shaping the perception of the car market in Switzerland and having a direct impact on millions of people.
What You Will Do:
- Research planning: Collaborating with various stakeholders to define (strategic) research objectives.
- Preparing, conducting, and analysing qualitative and quantitative user studies to explore business models, features, concepts, and designs together with our users.
- Effectively communicating insights and findings to represent and address user needs during product development.
- Collaborating with different stakeholders from various areas, including product, design, marketing, data, and strategy, to develop our products with a focus on user experience.
- Advocating for user needs, goals, and problems, as well as user-centred design throughout the organisation.
- Shaping the product strategy and roadmap by conducting proactive research.
Qualifications
Who You Are
- You possess a deep understanding of user research and are interested in design thinking methods, as well as user-centred design principles and UI best practices.
- You have experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative UX research studies; experience in market research and/or business analysis is a plus.
- You are comfortable creating reports and giving presentations, and can communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, which is our corporate language. You also speak at least one of French, German, or Italian at a native-speaker level.
- You have experience in running statistical analyses and are comfortable using tools for statistical analysis like R (which is a big plus) or SPSS.
- A degree at the university level in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other fields emphasizing human behaviour would be advantageous.
- You can work independently, prioritize time across multiple projects, and are flexible in adapting to changing schedules. Your proactivity is evident in discussions about our ways of working, helping us elevate our research team to the next level.
