The Development Economics Group (DEC) at ETH Zurich is dedicated to conducting empirical economics research that informs effective policies aimed at reducing global poverty and inequalities. Our mission is to foster social innovations that contribute to these goals through rigorous empirical and experimental economic research.
The Development Economics Group (ETH-DEC) is offering a research assistant position in Development Economics, starting on September 1, 2026, for a duration of 6 months. This position provides a valuable opportunity to gain research experience between a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. program.
We are an international team of highly motivated economists and data scientists dedicated to analyzing global inequalities and contributing innovative solutions to global development challenges. Our research group is closely affiliated with NADEL, a multidisciplinary team focused on educating future decision-makers for global cooperation and development. We connect researchers with civil society, NGOs, governments, and industry to scale impactful innovations for the global population.
