Your Role

We are expanding our global Red Team and seeking additional testers based in Krakow or Wroclaw to help us drive security improvements across the bank by simulating real-world cyber attacks.

Ideal candidates will have experience in security testing, preferably with some red team experience, ideally within a large corporate or consultancy environment.

We are particularly interested in individuals who live and breathe cyber security and possess a deep interest in the topic. Candidates who enjoy staying informed about threats, vulnerabilities, and techniques will find this role especially rewarding. Furthermore, we value candidates who can effectively translate technical findings into business risks. This role requires an inquisitive mind, the ability to think outside the box, and a broad technical skill set. While technical certifications such as CREST or OSCP are advantageous, they are not a prerequisite. However, candidates must possess strong reporting skills in business English, alongside project management skills and personal organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and management to develop red team scenarios aligned with real-world cyber threats
• Work alongside blue teams and other security monitoring functions
• Conduct controlled red team exercises by emulating the tactics, techniques, and procedures of cyber threat actors
• Liaise with key stakeholders during testing
• Develop and submit detailed reports of findings, analyses, and recommendations
• Participate in operational briefings and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide technical expertise to the bank as needed

Your Team

You will be a member of the global Cyber Testing & Assurance team, functioning as a second-line assurance testing department within Compliance & Operational Risk Control. We have a presence in the UK, Switzerland, and Poland. Note that this is a hybrid role; while UBS supports remote working, some office presence will be required.

Your Expertise

• A strong technical foundation, preferably in cyber security
• Hands-on experience in executing penetration and/or red team testing assessments of critical business assets
• Solid understanding of enterprise architectures, operations, and IT control environments
• Current and thorough knowledge of threat and vulnerability management techniques and tools
• An inquisitive mind and a passion for security research
• Outstanding written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical matters in a business-focused and risk-centric manner
• Formal security testing certifications are advantageous (for example, CREST, Offensive Security, GIAC, etc.)
