Our client in the Basel region is a renowned real estate company that professionally manages an extensive portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The company's goal is to sustainably secure and increase property values while providing first-class service to owners and tenants. To strengthen the property accounting team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to start immediately or by agreement.

Job Description

In the role of the responsible person for property accounting, you will take on the leadership and organization of all accounting processes in the real estate sector. Your main task will be to ensure the accurate recording of all property-related business transactions. You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for condominium owners’ associations (STWEG) and rental properties and will be responsible for the control and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Furthermore, you will be in charge of budget planning, cost control, and reporting. As the central contact for internal and external auditors, you will optimize existing processes and implement efficient accounting and reporting systems.

Your close collaboration with facility management, controlling, and the legal department will enable you to accurately prepare the annual heating and ancillary cost statements and ensure the quality of services provided by our client.

What We Expect

  • You have completed a commercial education, ideally supplemented by further training in property accounting (e.g., federal diploma as an accountant or fiduciary expert).
  • You bring several years of experience in property accounting or real estate management and possess leadership experience along with excellent social skills.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and real estate law is essential.
  • Your structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style sets you apart.
  • Very good IT skills, particularly in accounting software (ideally Quorum) as well as in MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness round off your profile.
