Join Us as Product Owner Barryvox (All, 80-100%)
The role of Product Owner Barryvox is integral to the development and management of Mammut’s avalanche beacon platform. You will ensure that user needs are translated into robust technical solutions that are successfully implemented.
In addition to driving product development, you will serve as the central technical contact within our global organization. As the Product Owner for Barryvox, you will oversee the service network, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of the Barryvox ecosystem. We are looking for someone to start in this position on September 1st, 2026, or by agreement.
Your Responsibilities
- Barryvox Product Ownership: Own and drive Barryvox product development by translating user and market needs into technical requirements. Coordinate with external development partners to ensure high-quality, compliant products from briefing to production.
- Technical Product Expertise: Build and maintain deep product knowledge. Act as a use case specialist in avalanche rescue, ensuring a strong understanding of the product across internal stakeholders.
- Validation & Compliance: Ensure proper product validation (lab & field testing) and compliance with internal standards, PPE directives, and applicable norms.
- Service & Platform Ownership: Own the Barryvox service infrastructure and maintenance software. Serve as the global technical escalation point for Customer Service and Repair & Care teams, and ensure support for existing product platforms.
- Training & Support: Regularly train global service teams to ensure consistent product knowledge and high service quality worldwide.
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering (electronics, mechatronics, or similar) or a comparable background that combines technical and business expertise.
- Strong understanding of avalanche safety products and their applications.
- Experience in project and product management for technical consumer electronics.
- Solid understanding of product validation and certification processes.
- A creative, efficient, and flexible personality with a keen interest in mountain sports activities.
- A team player with a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and 3D CAD software.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
