As a Product Designer at Meta, you will play a pivotal role in the technology development process, ensuring that our products are valuable, user-friendly, and crafted to the highest standards. Your involvement will span every phase of product development, from brainstorming groundbreaking innovations to finalizing pixel-perfect designs right before launch. You will leverage your comprehensive skill set in product design, interaction design, and visual design while contributing to critical strategic decisions alongside product and executive partners.

Product Designer Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver design projects of significant and/or ambiguous scope.
• Transform broad, conceptual ideas into valuable solutions for over 2 billion users.
• Create flows and experiences that simplify complex actions into intuitive interfaces.
• Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems.
• Contribute to strategic decisions regarding the future direction of Facebook products.
• Solicit and provide feedback from fellow designers and the broader product team to elevate quality standards while embracing mentorship responsibilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee user experience from conception to launch.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in building, shipping, and leading applications or software with end-to-end experiences across various platforms.
• 6+ years of interaction design experience, demonstrating an understanding of user needs and how experience innovations can scale.
• 6+ years of visual design experience, with proficiency in typography, UI design, color theory, layout, iconography, and aesthetic impact on product function.
• 6+ years of experience in driving product vision and contributing to team goals aligned with user and company impact.
• Experience presenting work to a wider product team and other stakeholders, articulating goals and concepts clearly and succinctly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing products for virtual, augmented, mixed reality, and other emerging technologies.
• Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams, including User Research, Engineering, and Product Management.
• Proficiency in prototyping 3D interactions or interfaces using Unity.
• Familiarity with novel user inputs such as hand or eye tracking.
• Experience designing products for developers and/or creators.
