Position Details

Position: Product Compliance Specialist

Department: Regulatory / QMS Consumer Goods Retail (Medical Devices)

Work Location: Bussigny, Switzerland (Hybrid – 3 days a week in office)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Your Role

Are you passionate about ensuring product compliance across global markets? We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support regulatory registrations for all brands—particularly in the Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets such as India and Pakistan. In this role, you’ll also play a vital part in environmental waste reporting and post-market surveillance, focusing on health and safety complaint handling. Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Affairs Responsibilities:

  • Supporting product notifications and registration processes for new market entries, including India, Pakistan, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Creating and updating essential regulatory documentation, including Declarations of Conformity.
  • Liaising with regulatory agencies and laboratories to ensure timely updates and renewals of product licenses.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for regulatory inquiries from Sales, Amazon, and other stakeholders related to new markets.
  • Providing support for additional regulatory activities as needed.

Environmental Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in reporting product sales volumes to environmental agencies in compliance with mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Acting as an additional point of contact for internal teams, customers, and environmental authorities regarding recycling taxes and compliance.
  • Maintaining compliance with waste reporting obligations, including new product categories and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels.
  • Supporting the implementation of new environmental regulations (e.g., Eco-design, PPWR, UK RAM).

Product Data Maintenance:

  • Collaborating with local and global teams to gather product data required for environmental reporting.
  • Entering and validating product data in Oracle in accordance with environmental reporting procedures.
  • Communicating product recycling tax classifications to relevant departments to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Working with IT to provide input for the development and improvement of environmental reporting tools.

Post-Market Surveillance:

  • Supporting health and safety complaint handling and reporting processes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external consumer service agencies to investigate product complaints.
  • Interfacing with Competent Authorities for reporting adverse events related to medical devices (MIR).
  • Contributing to broader post-market surveillance activities.

Quality Management:

  • Participating in Quality Management System (QMS) activities and initiatives as required.

Skills Needed To Be Successful In This Role

  • IT, Supply Chain, or Commercial background preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in an international environment.
  • Experience with several product categories and environmental reporting would be an asset.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in French would be a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Oracle (or other ERP systems).
