Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Biocenter of Excellence laboratory is seeking a recent BSc/MSc/PhD graduate eager to gain invaluable insights into Quality Control Laboratory operations and general Good Practice (GxP) standards. Our team oversees the release, stability, and validation testing of approximately 18 different biotech products utilizing a wide range of analytical techniques, including chromatography, electrophoresis, ELISA, and compendial methods—all conducted under stringent GxP regulations.

About the Role

  • Duration: Until the end of 2026
  • Preferred Start Date: November 1, 2025
  • Location: Stein, Aargau

Your Accountabilities Will Include:

  • Conducting QC-related investigations, such as Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Expectation (OOE), Out of Trend (OOT), or deviations, including detailed report writing.
  • Developing deviation reports related to equipment failures or malfunctions.
  • Defining corrective and preventive actions as part of the investigations performed.
  • Guiding analysts during routine analyses and supporting problem detection solutions.
  • Assisting the senior QC specialist during health authority inspections.
  • Supporting KPI tracking and trending activities.
  • Generating and reviewing standard operating procedures.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or pharmacy (completed within the last 12 months).
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Resilience and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong technical and scientific knowledge of pharmaceutical, chemical analytics, QC, or equivalent.
  • Language proficiency: Business-level German and English.
