Your Responsibilities

This position is based on 80% FTE, which includes approximately 10% dedicated to teaching assistant tasks. The roles are designed as training opportunities, allowing successful candidates to utilize the remaining unpaid 20% for their own professional development and skill enhancement.

Your Profile

  • A background in typological linguistics, holding a Master's or Honours degree in a related field.
  • Particular interest in Papuan or Australian Aboriginal languages is highly encouraged; however, candidates from other geographic regions are also welcome.
  • Desirable skills include proficiency in data science tools such as R or Python, as well as experience in linguistic fieldwork.
  • Candidates should specify their preference for a fieldwork-based or literature-based study in their submission, as both options are viable within the scope of the project.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, alongside proficiency in oral and written English.
