Your Role
We seek an Excellence Programs and Collaboration Manager to join our Operations Management team and spearhead excellence initiatives for our GI team worldwide. You will be instrumental in defining and executing Project & Portfolio and Business Excellence programs within a dynamic and positive work environment. Collaborating with other GI functions and operations teams from different business units will be essential to your success.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage cross-business unit collaboration platforms for GI projects in conjunction with Transformers, High Voltage, and Grid Automation business units.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement actions to facilitate collaborative project execution and common prioritization.
- Develop and execute Grid Integration Excellence Programs, focusing on Project & Portfolio Excellence and Business Excellence.
- Design programs, onboard internal and external trainers, align stakeholder interests, coordinate logistics, and host interactive sessions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in organizing and coordinating large meetings and team events.
- Support 100% digital Project and Portfolio Review implementation while managing GPQSS portfolio tracking and analyzing gross margin movements in project execution.
- Collaborate with HSE and Engineering teams to synergize Safety by Design practices across the GI business unit.
Your Background
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- PMI project management certification.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the power grids industry and Hitachi Energy product offerings (e.g., Transformers, High Voltage Products, Grid Automation).
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing, sales, tendering, risk management, continuous improvement, financials, and project execution disciplines and their interdependencies.
- High resilience, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a structured approach to tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for presenting and driving operational improvement initiatives globally.
- A reliable self-starter with a high degree of independence, initiative, and the ability to collaborate within a global team.
- Experience in competence development.
- Familiarity with project execution and process excellence systems: InEight, SAP, Salesforce, Adonis, Unifier, Primavera P6, PowerBI.
- Keen knowledge of Lean tools: Kaizen, Gemba, Value Stream Mapping, 5S.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or Spanish is a significant advantage.
