Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ANAVIA, you will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and testing mechanical systems and components for our unmanned helicopters. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our mechanical designs meet performance specifications, adhere to safety standards, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Your Main Tasks
- Mechanical Design: Design and develop mechanical systems for unmanned helicopters, including structural components, landing gear, propulsion systems, control mechanisms, and rotor head systems.
- Analysis and Simulation: Perform mechanical analysis and simulations, such as finite element analysis, to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of designs under various load conditions.
- Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to build prototypes and conduct tests that validate mechanical designs and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and maintenance manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, aerodynamic, and software engineering teams to ensure integrated design and performance of the unmanned helicopter systems.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in mechanical engineering and UAV technology, incorporating best practices into design processes.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manned helicopter industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as CREO, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX, as well as simulation tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong social abilities and analytical skills.
