Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled mathematics teacher to instruct academically motivated high school sophomores (ages 15-16) from diverse backgrounds across the United States. This position entails teaching the following subjects:

• Geometry
• Algebra II
• Precalculus
• Calculus

Classes will consist of 2 to 6 students, allowing for a personalized learning experience. The teacher will be responsible for leading four classes, typically held six days a week, and will regularly assess students through assignments, tests, and examinations.

This role also includes communication (usually via email) with the sending schools in the United States, while the curriculum for each student will be provided by their respective home school.

Requirements

• Proficient in English writing and speaking skills: Native or C2 level
• Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD degrees
• Strong teaching background in various levels of secondary school mathematics
• Familiarity with IB mathematics curriculum and US curriculum is beneficial
• Ability to teach Calculus AP curriculum
• Advisory duties for 4-5 students
• Outdoor experience (hiking, climbing, biking, skiing) is preferred but not required
