Main Duties
- Teach across various age groups and ability levels, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs.
- Engage in school life by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute to our Boarding Department.
- Focus on your own professional growth and development.
- Mentor a small group of learners and monitor their achievements and well-being.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Handle subject-related administrative tasks and take part in departmental meetings.
- Adhere to the school's assessment and reporting processes and attend parents' meetings as needed.
Person Specification
- Possess a good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly related subject.
- Exhibit a commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Be passionate about mathematics and inspire enthusiasm in students.
- Open to implementing innovative teaching practices and continually developing pedagogical skills.
- Willing to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a first language.
- Align with the educational vision of La Garenne International School, including our holistic approach to education, and actively contribute to co-curricular and pastoral life.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, fostering relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
- Exhibit strong ICT competence and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
