State-of-the-Art Facility
The newly built multi-purpose manufacturing facility is designed for large-scale production of biologics and offers significant expansion potential. Upon completion of construction, our site in Lengnau will feature highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies—from development to large-scale production—utilizing stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs.
Purpose
- Conduct the production of recombinant products by operating automated production equipment.
- Support project teams in the design, commissioning, qualification, and validation of new production lines for recombinant products.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of their shift in manufacturing suites, including the daily schedule.
- Execute manufacturing activities in USP or DSP.
- Own Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures in their area.
- Support Manufacturing Excellence to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in defining robust process parameters during routine manufacturing campaigns.
- Engage in New Product Introduction activities.
- Ensure training and compliance records are current.
- Commit to Thermo Fisher Scientific values, ethics, and legal compliance standards.
- Take personal accountability for presence, performance, and productivity to achieve defined objectives.
- Adhere to EHSS legal requirements, rules, policies, procedures, and instructions for their area of responsibility.
- Contribute to EHSS initiatives and report any near misses for follow-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceuticals, food science, or chemistry.
- Language proficiency: English or German.
- 1-3 years of successful experience in pharmaceutical operations in a GMP-relevant environment.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to work on a shift rotation model, including regular weekends and public holidays.
- On-call duties are expected based on staffing needs.
