Job Opportunity: (Senior) LPG Trader
Axpo is seeking a skilled (Senior) LPG Trader to join our Continental Europe Merchant Trading Division. Reporting to the Head of LPG Trading, you will manage assigned LPG books and strive to maximize profitability while adhering to risk policies and limits. This position offers a unique chance to engage in both physical and financial LPG trading and hedging, conduct market research, and develop business relationships globally.
What You Will Do:
- Manage assigned LPG books and support the desk in maximizing profitability.
- Trade within internal and external compliance standards, respecting trading mandates and risk policies.
- Identify and exploit LPG trading opportunities through physical and financial trading.
- Negotiate and finalize contractual agreements with suppliers and customers.
- Monitor and analyze global LPG markets to inform trading strategies.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers and counterparties.
- Conduct market research and develop quantitative models to support trading decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and risk policies.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in physical LPG trading and origination.
- Extensive knowledge of LPG infrastructure, end-users, supply contracts, and optimization models.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with major NGL players.
- Ability to implement proprietary physical and hedging strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to devise and execute effective trading strategies.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in office suites and advanced programming skills (VBA, Python, C#) are advantageous.
