At the ETH Zurich Media and Methods Lab, we don't work in silos; we collaborate closely in co-design. Game designers, storytellers, programmers, and educational experts come together to create innovative learning experiences. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is eager to develop hands-on learning experiences—from the initial idea to finished prototyping—particularly focusing on exciting new formats for the ETH Heilbronn location.
Your Role
As part of the Media and Methods Lab (MML) within the Unit for Teaching and Learning at ETH Zurich, you will design and create future-oriented, interactive teaching and learning experiences in multidisciplinary teams. Your work will primarily focus on the virtual development of the new ETH Campus Heilbronn. The position is initially set to last until the end of 2026, with the possibility for extension.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Develops didactic concepts for digital media with a focus on Mixed/Virtual Reality and digital collaboration.
- Actively implements virtual modules in a co-design capacity—from idea to prototyping and implementation—creating innovative learning experiences in collaboration with the multidisciplinary MML team (Audiovisual Media Design, Storytelling, Game Design, Programming) and various ETH departments.
- Takes charge of project management and organization of sub-projects and contributes new ideas and developments.
- Possesses in-depth expertise in Learning Design, including the didactic integration of media, authoring tools, and interaction.
- Brings practical experience in producing digital learning modules at the university level.
- Has experience in planning, structuring, developing, and implementing learning modules.
- Shows genuine interest in scientific topics and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Communicates fluently in German and English.
- Possesses teaching experience and/or a formal teaching qualification.
- Demonstrates agility, an aptitude for rapid learning, and a keen interest in media and technology developments.
- Holds a university degree in a relevant field.
- A plus: Knowledge of UI/UX Design or Interaction Design, along with a familiarity and interest in daily use of AI tools.
