About the Role

The Genedata Biologics core development team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of our innovative products, Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess®, which are widely utilized in pharmaceutical and biotech research and development. This position presents a thrilling opportunity to shape and promote these successful products while collaborating with a dynamic, international team dedicated to delivering software that truly makes a difference.

Your Responsibilities

• Design REST APIs to support our Single Page Applications (SPA).
• Develop new features and troubleshoot issues to enhance user experience.
• Optimize database queries and improve the performance of Java code.
• Create thorough tests for critical code to ensure reliability.
• Assist team members by automating routine tasks and introducing new technologies.

Qualifications

The essential requirements for this role include:

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in computer science or related fields, with 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert knowledge of Java (Java 17) or C#.
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming principles and a commitment to producing clean, efficient, well-documented code.
• Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development.
• Familiarity with relevant Java APIs such as JAX-RS, JPA/Hibernate, Java Streams, and SQL.
