Internship Opportunity at Heilpädagogische Schule Uster (HPSU)

At the Heilpädagogische Schule Uster (HPSU), we provide support to children and adolescents with intellectual and multiple disabilities in small, nurturing groups. We are seeking an intern to join our kindergarten team starting August 15, 2026, or by arrangement.

Position: Intern

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the special educator in daily educational activities and development.
• Supporting lunch supervision and accompanying students on weekly swimming visits.
• Participating in special events such as class trips and parent evenings.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, excluding school holidays, with three afternoons free from lessons.

Compensation

Internship compensation: Gross monthly salary ranging from CHF 1,268 to CHF 1,585, depending on prior experience in education or care, plus a share of the 13th month's salary.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• Interest in and/or experience working with children with special needs
• Resilience and teamwork skills
• A sense of humor and flexibility
• A minimum age of 18 years

Work Location

The kindergarten class is located in a double kindergarten at Heusser-Staubstrasse 1 in Uster.

Internship Duration

The minimum duration of the internship is ½ year (until the sports holidays), with the possibility of an extension based on mutual interest.
