Job Title: Head of External Opportunities / Fragrances Research
As the Head of External Opportunities for Fragrances Research, you will lead and manage both external and internal collaboration partners to enhance the value of innovative partnerships in the fields of Fragrances Science and Technology.
You will be based in our Innovation Center in Kemptthal and will report directly to the Head of Ingredients Research.
Your Responsibilities:
- Scout technology partners for Fragrances Science and Technology opportunities in the realm of fragrance ingredients and feedstocks, adhering to the innovation roadmap and strategy.
- Oversee the partner selection process with key stakeholders, including S&T, competitive intelligence, procurement, legal, IP, finance, business sponsors, and senior management.
- Manage collaborations with external partners.
- Utilize modern technologies to explore available networks and materials for identifying strategic partnership opportunities.
- Maintain a robust network of consultants, Givaudan memberships, and participate in conferences to keep the S&T organization informed about the latest developments in ingredients and feedstocks.
- Consolidate and capture ideas, needs, and opportunities within the organization.
Your Professional Profile Includes:
- A university degree (PhD) in life sciences, biotechnology, or green chemistry.
- A minimum of 5 years of research program experience with external parties.
- Strong understanding of production processes and fragrance molecules.
- Business proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strategic and opportunistic thinking capabilities.
- Experience in leveraging knowledge for making informed proposals and decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, effectively engaging with various levels within and outside the organization.
- Broad experience in the Fragrance, Beauty, and Taste & Wellbeing industries.
- Proficiency in utilizing modern technologies.
