Position: Group Reporting Expert
As a Group Reporting Expert at Accelleron, you will play a crucial role in preparing the Group’s published consolidated Financial Statements. You will be responsible for finance and accounting management, ensuring the collection, processing, and presentation of accurate financial data. Collaborating closely with the Group Consolidation Expert and the Group Internal Control Expert, you will provide insightful financial and operational feedback to inform management and other stakeholders. Your direct line of reporting will be to the Head of Group Accounting & Reporting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Manage and coordinate global Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including maintaining accounting policies, fixed assets management, and ledger integrity.
- Prepare the Group’s published half-year and year-end consolidated Financial Statements (US GAAP).
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial and management reports produced through ERP systems, including updates for changes in financial master data (e.g., chart of accounts, entity structure, reporting codes, etc.).
- Compliance:
- Shape, monitor, and operate a robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring they are current and implemented across all Group units.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and public reporting requirements, liaising with external service providers when necessary.
- Coordinate and manage external audits of the Group’s financial statements, serving as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Technical Expertise and Process Improvement:
- Provide technical accounting advice and support based on US GAAP and Accelleron’s Group accounting policy.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement within the R2R process, incorporating these into daily routines.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize ERP systems and financial tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
- Encourage cooperation, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among different stakeholders regarding Internal Control, Information Systems functions, and Accounting services.
Your Background and Qualifications:
- CPA (K), ACCA, or ACA qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years in a senior accounting role focusing on financial reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP with hands-on experience in financial reporting frameworks (i.e., internal controls).
- High-level technical and managerial accounting skills.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities, particularly in R2R processes.
- Proven capacity to implement and maintain internal controls.
- Proficiency in stakeholder and project management, including planning and organizational skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented personality capable of driving change and fostering cooperation.
