Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French teacher to inspire and educate academically motivated high school sophomores (ages 15-16) from various schools across the United States.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching French I to Advanced Placement courses in intimate class sizes (2-6 students).
- Conducting four classes tailored to the unique needs of our students.
- Regularly assessing students through assignments, tests, and exams to monitor their progress.
- Maintaining correspondence with the sending schools in the United States via email.
- Utilizing the curriculum provided by the students' home schools to effectively guide each individual.
Requirements
- Fluency in English, with writing and speaking skills at a Native or C2 level.
- Bachelor of Arts in French Education.
- Master's or PhD degrees are preferred but not mandatory.
- A strong teaching background across different levels of secondary school French.
- Familiarity with the US curriculum is advantageous.
- Ability to provide advisory support to a group of 4-5 students.
- Experience in outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, and skiing is preferred but not essential.
