Co-Founder & Fullstack Engineer (Full-Time, On-Site in St. Gallen)
This position is ideal for individuals eager to make a significant impact on the growth of LocalBini within an innovative technological landscape. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including backend development with Python, architecting infrastructure using Terraform on AWS, crafting intuitive front-end experiences in React, and driving mobile app development via Flutter. Additionally, you will play a vital role in ensuring software quality by creating comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate effectively with our dynamic part-time remote development team and the St. Gallen business unit to conceptualize and refine software solutions.
- Develop robust backend applications using Python, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
- Design the logic and user interface of front-end applications using React.js (TypeScript), ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Build infrastructure with Terraform, utilizing AWS PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, and IaaS to create a scalable and efficient ecosystem.
- Utilize Flutter to create a cutting-edge mobile application, emphasizing a user-friendly interface and smooth functionality.
- Conduct thorough testing to validate software responsiveness and efficiency, prioritizing user data security and confidentiality.
- Implement mobile-responsive design principles to provide an exceptional experience across various devices.
- Create extensive technical documentation.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to enhance the LocalBini experience through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Execute front-end logic and UI enhancements for applications, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing user interface.
- Optimize app performance on mobile devices through Responsive Web Design (RWD) adjustments, improving accessibility and user satisfaction.
- Facilitate integrations with external systems, such as Google Analytics, to gather valuable insights and enhance overall system functionality.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on commercial experience with Python and React.
- Proficient in our technology stack: React, AWS (Lambda, S3, SES, SQS), Python, Terraform, and Flutter.
- Extensive Python expertise, with a focus on building REST APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including DynamoDB and Elastic Search (Open Search).
- Familiarity with ORM-based approaches using PSQL.
- Proficiency in Terraform within an AWS environment.
- Strong understanding of asyncio loops, aiohttp, and AWS EventBridge.
- Experience in event-driven and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Development principles.
- Solid understanding of React with Redux and Redux Toolkit using TypeScript.
- Highly experienced with AWS Cognito and AWS Amplify.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
- Proficient in platform testing: unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests.
- DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline maintenance expertise (GitLab).
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity, including the ability to conduct and interpret automated penetration tests.
- Strong background in SEO optimization.
- Familiarity with AWS cost and performance optimization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Flutter and involvement in iOS and Android app release cycles.
- Ability to self-review code and proficiency in project management tools like JIRA.

- Commercial experience with the Lambdalizator framework.
- Design experience with Figma.
