About the Company

ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.

Position: Flight Test Engineer

Your primary responsibility will be the supervision and execution of UAS operations. As an integral member of the operating crew, you will support daily operations and gather test performance information during and after flights.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate, and conduct all development flight testing requirements regarding specific flight profiles.
  • Record ground test and flight test performance data and present information in clear and concise reports.
  • Be fully conversant with all rotorcraft systems, limitations, and safety procedures as outlined in the Flight Manual.
  • Ensure the safe and correct conduct of all ground and air-related rotorcraft testing within the responsibilities of the Flight Test Engineer position.
  • Assist the Remote Pilot during pre-flight, in-flight, handover, and pre-landing checklist activities.
  • Monitor critical rotorcraft systems.
  • Support the development team in defining test scenarios for the verification and validation flight test phase for products and prototypes.
  • Engage in daily tasks including test plan and test card generation, real-time data monitoring during ground and flight tests, directing tests, data analysis and documentation, test readiness review preparation, and on-aircraft troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate closely with system, avionics, propulsion, structural, software, and flight controls engineers to develop and support flight testing for the VTOL platform.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Aerospace Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of flight test techniques and methods.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
  • Basic understanding of Risk Management for operations.
  • A valid driving license.
