Position Overview

The Finance and Controlling Team within the HEKS/EPER Global Cooperation Division is seeking to expand its talented group with a dedicated professional. We are currently offering a fixed-term position for one year, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Finance and Controlling Specialist (60-80%)

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly consolidation process for the accounting of our Country Offices (20+ offices), including intercompany reconciliation, elimination journals, and top-side adjustments.
  • Maintain existing financial reporting and controlling tools in PowerBI and Excel while spearheading the development and enhancement of additional tools.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes of the Global Cooperation division, analyzing budget vs. actuals reporting on an ongoing basis at the project, mandate, and division levels.
  • Manage the income recognition/accrual process for grants and donations.
  • Assist in the year-end financial closing process in accordance with Swiss GAAP FER 21.
  • Support the management of restricted funds capital within the Global Cooperation Division.

To Be Successful, You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR a Dipl. Expert in Accounting and Controlling or similar technical education.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in financial accounting, controlling, and reporting, preferably within the INGO sector.
  • Practical expertise in financial consolidation, particularly in an international context.
  • Experience with Business Central, PowerBI, PowerQuery, and SQL is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, a high level of responsibility, and a proactive mindset.
  • Fluency in English and German (both written and oral).
