The Engineer Failure Analysis position in Lenzburg presents an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team focused on semiconductor failure analysis. This role involves conducting complex analyses to determine failure mechanisms in semiconductors, supporting Research & Development and Product Engineering teams, and improving laboratory analysis techniques. A solid understanding of analysis methods and the use of specialist equipment is essential for success in this position.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyze failed devices from internal tests to improve yield and reliability.
• Perform in-depth investigations of customer returns using REM/EDX, profilometers, electrical measurement techniques, and spreading resistance profiling (SRP).
• Support troubleshooting and improvement teams within production and R&D.
• Enhance electrical and physical analysis techniques as well as chemical preparation processes.

Your Background

• Master’s degree in natural sciences (TU, FH, ETH, or similar).
• Preferably more than three years of lab experience, although we also welcome highly motivated graduates who have completed their PhD thesis.
• Knowledge of standard failure analysis methods such as SEM/EDX, optical microscopy, hot-spot analysis, electrical characterization, SAM, and spreading resistance profiling.
• Experience in failure analysis of semiconductor chips and components (including packaging and materials) is desirable.
• Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
