Job Opportunity: Failure Analysis Engineer

As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our products by investigating and analyzing failed devices. Your expertise will help us identify root causes of failures, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyze failed devices from internal tests to improve yield and reliability.
- Perform in-depth investigations of customer returns, utilizing techniques such as REM/EDX, profilometry, electrical measurement techniques, and spreading resistance profiling (SRP).
- Support troubleshooting and improvement teams within production and R&D.
- Enhance electrical and physical analysis techniques as well as chemical preparation processes.
Your Background
- Master’s degree in natural sciences, e.g., chemistry (from TU, FH, ETH, or similar institutions).
- Preferred candidates will have more than three years of lab experience; however, highly motivated graduates who have completed their PhD thesis are also welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of standard failure analysis methods such as SEM/EDX, optical microscopy, hot-spot analysis, electrical characterization, SAM, and spreading resistance profiling.
- Experience in failure analysis of semiconductor chips and components (including packaging and materials) is desirable.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
