Job Opportunity: Senior Lead - Integrated Planning Platform
On is seeking a Senior Lead - Integrated Planning Platform to join our engineering team at our headquarters in Zurich. We are looking for a leader who seamlessly integrates deep, strategic Supply Chain Planning expertise with a robust software engineering and technical background. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex projects and a high-performing team that delivers large-scale planning system solutions, which serve as the digital backbone of our global supply chain.
Your Mission
- Lead & Empower Teams: Inspire and grow engineering teams focused on the Integrated Planning Platform. Ensure the team operates with a clear mission aligned with On's global supply chain goals, foster a collaborative environment, and balance close management with giving team members the freedom to act autonomously.
- Supply Chain & Platform Delivery: Assume full accountability for the delivery, timeline, quality, and recruitment for your teams. Manage larger, complex deliverables by mitigating risks, anticipating blockers, and addressing uncertainties.
- Technical & Architectural Leadership: Be responsible for the team's technical decisions and solutions, serving as a key contributor to align with On Tech's architectural vision. Guide the architecture to effectively manage complex supply chain data flows, enterprise system (e.g., ERP) integrations, and high-volume planning cycles.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with end-to-end Planning business leaders, product managers, and project management to coordinate deliverables. Translate complex supply chain business needs into scalable technical initiatives, define scope of delivery, and manage complex cross-team dependencies.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the reliable operation of your team's planning systems and related systems in accordance with established Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Prioritize the resolution of time-sensitive incidents that could affect critical planning and purchasing cycles and support iterative rollout, testing, and release engineering practices.

Your Qualifications
- Supply Chain Planning Experience: A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 8 years with a Master’s degree). You possess a profound background in Supply Chain Planning, with in-depth knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, supply network planning, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain visibility.
- Technical Background: A strong engineering or technical background with a proven track record of driving impact. You have successfully built, scaled, or integrated enterprise planning architectures, ERP systems, and data-intensive applications in high-growth environments. Experience with Anaplan (or similar enterprise planning platforms) is a strong plus.
- People Leadership: Proven experience managing one or more teams of engineers or individual contributors. You have successfully developed high performers, actively managed team performance, and driven continuous improvement.
- Navigating Complexity: Demonstrated ability to identify underlying business and technical issues, uncover root causes within complex supply chain data or processes, and deliver innovative solutions across multiple domains.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You adapt your communication style for cross-functional initiatives, building strong collaborative relationships with technical peers, supply chain stakeholders, and senior leaders.
