As an electrician, your primary responsibilities will include creating installations in buildings, as well as maintaining and repairing existing systems. You will lay connections from the main supply in the basement to the outlets used by energy consumers. Your tasks will also involve preparing individual components for future installation. In newly constructed buildings, you will install protective conduits for future wiring and set boxes for switches and control devices. Your work will be guided by technical plans and diagrams, and you will perform your duties both independently and as part of a team.
