Position Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Housemaster / Deputy Housemistress to collaborate closely with the Housemaster or Housemistress in leading a home defined by warmth, structure, and purpose. In this role, you will set the tone for daily life, providing guidance, encouragement, and care during morning routines, weekend activities, and evening check-ins.

This is a deeply people-focused role requiring you to act as a mentor, role model, and stabilizing presence during pivotal moments in young people's lives—personally, socially, and emotionally.

This position blends pastoral leadership with a reduced teaching timetable and active engagement in the co-curricular life of the school, from creative projects to alpine adventures.

  • Share and develop good practices based on your skills and experiences.
  • Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school.
  • Teach a limited timetable as needed.
  • Actively participate in weekend activities, residential weeks, and other trips.

  • Excellent communicator with strong organizational and management skills.
  • Clear understanding of the complex environment of an international boarding school.
