This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives on the challenges of working with bright and inquisitive students from diverse backgrounds. The successful applicant will possess leadership experience in a boarding house, demonstrating a proven track record of exceptional pastoral care and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. This role is vital to our pastoral team, collaborating closely with the Heads of House, House Parents, and Head of Boarding to foster a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment for our girls. A key responsibility is to promote the welfare of all students and staff within the Boarding House, ensuring adherence to safeguarding, health and safety protocols, and enrichment activities.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational and communication skills necessary for the daily operations of the Boarding House, as well as support the academic and extracurricular endeavors of the students.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of House in managing the house
  • Create a safe, organized, warm, and friendly environment with student welfare at the forefront
  • Engage in professional communication with parents and stakeholders at the school
  • Organize and actively participate in boarding activities during evenings and weekends
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are consistently upheld
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Head of House in their absence

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in a residential setting
  • Compliance with “kant. Sozialamt Graubünden” requirements for working in a boarding school
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an international boarding school
  • High social competence and empathy, alongside strong communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and teamwork
  • Swiss/EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage
  • English language proficiency at a minimum C2 level; additional language skills are a plus
