CURREV Project Coordinator in Architecture

As part of the curriculum revision for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Architecture, the Department of Architecture (D-ARCH) at ETH Zurich is seeking to engage a Project Coordinator for the Curriculum Revision. The Bachelor curriculum revision process commenced in January 2023, aiming for the Bachelor program to launch in HS 2025. At the same time, the revision process for the Master program began in January 2025.

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will support a steering committee that includes the Director of Studies, the Study Coordinator, and the Educational Developer of D-ARCH, while reporting to the Executive Board and the Schulleitung. The role involves developing all aspects of the new curriculum through the various phases of the participatory process, which covers the general concept, detailed articulation, implementation, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Anticipating and planning the goals and milestones of the revision process
  • Steering and facilitating the participatory process involving a variety of stakeholders
  • Organizing and executing workshops, including preparing and editing discussion documents
  • Assisting, supporting, and evaluating experimental teaching formats and initiatives that will inform the curriculum revision
  • Setting up and maintaining both physical and digital spaces that serve as public platforms for the revision process
  • Supporting the monitoring process for the BSc ARCH

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in all aspects of teaching within an architecture school, including practice, reflection, teaching formats, competency development, and administration. A background in engaging with these elements and an interest in change management are essential. Familiarity with the teaching environment of the Department is a valuable asset.
