Commercial Analyst - Zurich Office

Ebury is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Zurich. This position will be office-based, with a schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

As part of the Sales Acceleration team, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative, data-driven processes, tools, and dashboards designed to support our commercial team in optimizing revenue and enhancing client experiences. You will collaborate closely with local leadership, leverage sophisticated data analytics tools, and contribute to the development and execution of impactful sales acceleration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial leadership to drive insights on team performance and revenue strategy by providing critical analyses.
  • Support the expansion of Ebury’s data toolkit by transforming data and sharing insights with commercial leadership related to revenue generation, product utilization, credit offerings, front office activities, performance management, and more.
  • Conduct sales analytics: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track sales performance, providing actionable insights to sales leadership for the Netherlands and Germany with potential for expansion.
  • Enhance sales processes: Collaborate with the sales team to assess and improve existing processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting. Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support sales enablement: Assist in the development and implementation of sales enablement programs, ensuring sales representatives have the necessary tools and resources to effectively engage with prospects and close deals.
  • Prepare data analysis and reporting: Create regular reports and presentations on front office performance, pipeline metrics, and revenue forecasts. Analyze data to identify opportunities for revenue growth, customer segmentation, and cross-selling/up-selling initiatives.
  • Manage CRM: Maintain and optimize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer and sales data. Provide training and support to the sales team on CRM usage and best practices.
  • Automate processes: Identify opportunities for sales process automation and collaborate with the technology team to implement appropriate tools and systems. Streamline workflows and eliminate manual tasks to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis: Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs. Provide insights to the sales team for improved targeting, positioning, and differentiation.
  • Foster collaboration and communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and finance, to align sales acceleration initiatives with overall business objectives. Collaborate with sales managers to ensure effective implementation and adoption of sales strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Multilingual fluency in French or German and English; proficiency in an additional European language, such as Spanish, is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a sales analyst or in a similar role, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Salesforce, SQL, or similar CRM systems.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and the lead-to-revenue lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, delivering actionable insights effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
