What is the Opportunity?

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of machined parts in our new CNC workshop. In collaboration with the machining workshop manager, you will oversee the CNC machines, create CNC programs, manage raw material procurement, conduct quality control, and facilitate workshop management.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, with convenient public transport connections (Tram 10) and free car parking available.

What is the Role?

• Create CNC programs directly on the machines, implement these programs, and monitor production.
• Work independently with 1 CNC milling machine and 1 CNC lathe.
• Support the production of machined parts for our innovation department and new assembly lines, including loading and unloading machines.
• Check parts after machining and maintain updated quality reports.
• Manage the workshop, including the supply of raw materials and consumables, as well as the maintenance of machines.

Does This Sound Like You?

• You have an education in CNC machining or programming.
• You possess at least 5 years of professional experience in a CNC workshop and programming.
• You are proficient with CNC milling and turning machines; experience with MAZAK machines is a plus.
• You are familiar with machining materials such as stainless steel, plastics (PP, PE, POM, PVDF, and others).
• You demonstrate self-initiative and creativity, are flexible, and can work effectively under pressure.
• You have English language skills for daily business use; knowledge of German, French, or other languages is an added advantage.
• You are an EU or Swiss citizen, or hold a valid work permit for Switzerland.
